Keynote: Today's Transformational Leader and the Changing Role of Technology Leadership
Yuri Aguiar, Senior Partner, CTO, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide
Session Moderator: Hunter Muller
The transition of IT from a basic service to a mainstream delivery engine has taken a little over two decades. Not everybody calls it a success though, and many managers still struggle to understand what technology really delivers for them.
Three different types of leaders across the business spectrum would view technology in three different ways; one as a revenue driver, another as a basic service, while a third as a necessary evil.
All these opinions are usually founded on past good or bad experiences, or simple interpretation by the CIO. Therefore, the view that the CEO has of technology, has a direct correlation to the leadership style and communications success of the CIO.
This session will discuss some real world challenges of this quest for transformation, and the continuous drive to bring technology into the core business. |
